This book is poetry meant for both the bullhorn and your bedside table. It’s poetry that celebrates resilience, resistance, and reflection. Open this book if you’re looking for something to remind you that there is beauty in the everyday and possibility that survives, even now.
Dani Jeremiah Gabriel is the author of four other books of poetry and three children’s books. They are living the unexpected reality of queer/trans middle age, and they write about surviving the everyday apocalypses and the very dangerous possibilities of hope. Dani is a Bay Area poet; born in San Francisco, they graduated from UC Berkeley, received their MFA from Mills College, were the Poet Laureate of El Cerrito from 2018–2020, and currently live in Oakland, California.
